✍️ THE SCOUT REPORT

We’ve entered August, meaning there’s a fortnight to go until the Premier League and – more importantly – FPL restarts. To celebrate, we at Fantasy Football Scout are proud to announce the long-awaited launch of an app. We believe it was worth all the blood, sweat and tears. It’ll very soon be available on Android too.

There, you will of course be able to read our editorial articles. Regular pre-season note-keeping has added twists to some of the biggest online debates. For example, owning the Mohamed Salah and Erling Haaland duo was starting to gain traction but the latter supposedly has niggles. And his near-namesake Rasmus Hojlund has a six-week injury. Elsewhere, Christopher Nkunku’s three goals in three friendlies hint that he could genuinely be a good Cole Palmer alternative. That’s when Son Heung-min stepped in with a brace, reminding managers what he’s capable of.

Highly-owned Alexander Isak is “electric”, so Sam from FPL Family asks if we should try a double-up with Anthony Gordon. FPL General currently has both, plus the same Daniel Munoz that Zophar admires. Meanwhile, Pras is already drafting with potential Gameweek 4 and 6 Wildcards in mind.

Those with Eberechi Eze may want to consider the cheaper Daichi Kamada instead, whilst Wolves’ new forward Jorgen Strand Larsen is racking up summer assists.

Furthermore, we’ve begun the position-by-position breakdowns. Jordan Pickford and David Raya are the pick of the costly goalkeepers but numerous £4.5m options aren’t looking nailed-on. Stunning visuals from StatsBomb assess expensive defenders like Trent Alexander-Arnold, alongside a strong collection of £4.5m defenders like Vitalii Mykolenko – one of the best ‘value’ players when comparing 2023/24 points with 2024/25 prices.

But let’s embrace other Fantasy games too. We’re actually partnering with FanTeam for their new EFL Unlimited format and an enticing welcome offer accompanies it.

The first four FPL Challenge tasks have all been announced, together with top tips on how to master Fantasy EFL. Gathering knowledge on bookies’ odds, set-piece takers, major transfers and how teams are faring in warm-up matches could prove useful. We even ask if the discovered captaincy ‘cheat’ works.

To see all this at a glance, check out our pre-season page to quickly access articles and our much-loved minutes tracker for all friendlies. There’s a club-by-club look at transfers and results too. Visit our Members Area for comparison tools and an in-depth collection of Opta data, soon to be joined by StatsBomb’s highly-regarded expected goals (xG) model.

Over on our YouTube channel, both Pras and FPL General delve further into their latest squad ideas. We asked Az and Sam to rate some sent-in current drafts too. Additionally, the beloved Scoutcast is back in town and FPL Harry hosted a Q&A session.

These cannabis gummies keep selling out in 2024

If you've ever struggled to enjoy cannabis due to the harshness of smoking or vaping, you're not alone. That’s why these new cannabis gummies caught our eye.

Mood is an online dispensary that has invented a “joint within a gummy” that’s extremely potent yet federally-legal. Their gummies are formulated to tap into the human body’s endocannabinoid system.

Although this system was discovered in the 1990’s, farmers and scientists at Mood were among the first to figure out how to tap into it with cannabis gummies. Just 1 of their rapid onset THC gummies can get you feeling right within 5 minutes!
