✍️ THE SCOUT’S ROUND UP
PRICES GALORE
Last Monday afternoon brought the first FPL price reveals of 2023/24 assets, headlined by Erling Haaland becoming just the fourth player to ever begin a season at £14.0m. On top of this, there’s a slight drop to £12.5m for Mohamed Salah, with Bruno Fernandes (£8.5m) and Son Heung-min (£9.0m) falling £1.5m and £3.0m respectively.
Expect Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo (£6.5m) to be a popular name, as he’s not classified as a forward anymore – he’s a midfielder.
Once the FPL Show ended, clubs began slowly releasing a further four names beginning with Luton Town and Sheffield United.
Over on our YouTube channel, some of the Scout crew reacted to the day’s developments, whilst the editorial team provided a live blog on events.
Not only is it useful to know when next season’s Blank and Double Gameweeks will be but FPL managers may also be interested in why securing a low team ID upon relaunch is about more than bragging rights.
Elsewhere on site, all 20 Premier League teams have had their 2022/23 seasons reviewed in-depth – including the promoted trio - and we’ve announced the upcoming introduction of a slicker, faster, better Premium Members Area.
There’s also an analysis of new arrival Nicolas Jackson, alongside the domestic transfers of James Maddison, Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic. A list of major signings is constantly updated and make sure to keep checking our all-in-one pre-season page for a quick way to access recent articles, minutes played in friendlies and a lowdown on each club’s summer.
