FOMO SALAH
Gameweek 10 begins with a Friday evening FPL deadline and it follows a high-scoring weekend for those with template assets. All 18 ‘Great and the Good’ managers received a green arrow, with analysis revealing that Jan Kepski has the best captain-picking skills. He owns Mohamed Salah, so it’ll be interesting to see if he agrees with the Captain Sensible and Rate My Team (RMT) armband recommendation.
Being established as Liverpool’s penalty-taker gives Salah the edge over Bukayo Saka and Ollie Watkins – a pair who join him in being unanimous Scout Squad picks. It’s a popular week for Wildcards, where Pro Pundits Pras and Lateriser both aim to have Saka - although there’s a slight disagreement over formation and what to do with Spurs midfielders. Zophar provided his own opinion on Son Heung-min and James Maddison during a Q&A, whilst FPL General has changed his original Gameweek 10 plans.
Meanwhile, early team news brings doubts to Gabriel Jesus and Destiny Udogie, with centre-back Sven Botman’s continued absence forcing managers to seek replacements. Those impressed by Douglas Luiz’s goal spurt need to be careful – he’s on four yellow cards – plus there’s been a statistical piece comparing all 20 teams’ expected goals (xG) to their fixture difficulty.
Still to come between now and the deadline is Az’s look at Brighton options, the Watchlist and Spot the Differential.
