✍️ THE SCOUT REPORT
November’s international break brings the usual threat of late returnees from the Americas but will Erling Haaland’s hat-trick – combined with some unlucky domestic xG stats – stop the mass FPL shift from him to Mohamed Salah?
He’s already left the ‘Great and the Good’ template, where Fabio Borges – sat fourth in our live, updated Hall of Fame rankings – activated his Wildcard in Gameweek 11. FPL Family’s Sam did the same and was delighted to get Bruno Fernandes in time for his 17-point haul. In fact, Tom Freeman is about to buy him with his numerous free transfers, expecting him to play in an advanced role under new boss Ruben Amorim. He’s unanimous in our Scout Squad picks.
Yet this quiet fortnight is an even more popular time for Wildcards, jumping onto the good fixtures of Chelsea, Wolves and Brighton. Zophar’s hypothetical draft keeps faith in Arsenal defensive double-ups and then namechecks Rayan Ait-Nouri – despite being on four bookings – and Lewis Hall as two of the best cheap defenders, as the Newcastle man plays in Monday opponent West Ham’s weakest area of the pitch.
Lateriser is another to believe the Gunners’ backline will return to its old ways and FPL General may add Jurrien Timber as his second coverage of it, the Dutchman being identified as one of our three weekly differentials.
Another Lateriser piece looked at each ‘big hitter’ one by one. If it tempts managers to squeeze more in, then the importance of cheap attackers is huge. For example, is it time to sell Chris Wood for either Joao Pedro or Danny Welbeck? And is Emile Smith Rowe, Morgan Rogers or Antoine Semenyo the best low-priced midfielder? The Bournemouth winger has taken the second most shots (47) out of everyone, so we’ve analysed their quality.
As well as regular weekly coverage of the Fantasy EFL game, we’re about to open entry to this season’s FFS Cup competitions.
Meanwhile, LiveFPL has launched a Price Change Predictor that currently has an impressive hit rate. Still to come before the deadline is Captain Sensible, Sleeper and an updated Watchlist.
