Now is a good time to remind FPL managers that this week’s deadline is on Friday evening, rather than the usual Saturday. It coincides with Scout’s Black Friday deal, offering a free week-long Premium Membership trial. 

It’s the first of seven deadlines during the next 31 days, as the traditionally hectic December is about to begin. We've therefore looked at each club’s fixture turnarounds. Taking all competitions into account, Liverpool have a particularly tough time.

Such chaos is a test of everyone’s FPL skills. Pras gives six tips on how to successfully navigate this period, like targeting nailed-on starters and not buying players on four yellow cards like Nicolas Jackson or Rayan Ait-Nouri. Squad depth is advised if you can identify the best bench fodder. That’s useful for this week’s Wildcard users and our three recommended drafts also make the most of Brighton, Arsenal and Chelsea’s good fixtures. Other teams can be jumped on at better times between now and Gameweek 28.

One of many ‘Great and the Good’ managers who benefitted from Mark Flekken’s first clean sheet of the season, Zophar urges people to buy Arsenal assets and in-form Matheus Cunha. The Wolves forward and Bukayo Saka are unanimous Scout Squad picks and they join Gabriel in our Scout Picks bus team but there’s a chance that the latter got injured in midweek. We already know that Spurs stopper Guglielmo Vicario will miss the next few months, allowing the cheap Fraser Forster to step in.
