Managers only have until 18:30 (GMT) on Friday to extinguish several ongoing FPL fires. The big one concerns Erling Haaland, who missed Sunday’s trip to Luton with a foot injury. With other popular names like Kieran Tripper, Matty Cash and Alphonse Areola either suspended, rotated or injured, four-point hits could be in vogue for Gameweek 17.

Pro Pundit Zophar is debating those two for himself - the Bournemouth forward’s recent expected goals (xG) numbers are great - and recommends Pedro Porro as a long-term defender. The Spurs full-back is on set pieces and regularly assisting goals, making him a unanimous Scout Squad pick just like Solanke and Cole Palmer.

Each of the Great and the Good received green arrows apart from Seb Wassell. In a rotten piece of luck, his two transfers got rid of Mohamed Salah in order to get Haaland back. Perhaps he’s experiencing the ‘Hawthorne Effect’ where, as former champion Simon March explains, being publically watched by an audience could negatively influence the way content creators play FPL.
