✍️ THE SCOUT REPORT | GAMEWEEK 2

So the 2023/24 season is underway, with Gameweek 1 being a mix of surprise benchings, apologetic VAR officials and a major Kevin De Bruyne injury. A few Scout articles analysed the weekend’s cheapest FPL starters, all set-piece takers and the early impact of encouraging more stoppage time.

Attention now turns to Gameweek 2 – a rare occasion where someone is backed to outscore Erling Haaland, according to our captaincy piece and Rate My Team (RMT) points projections. The impressively attacking mindset of full-back Ben Chilwell is discussed in both FPL General’s Pro Pundit column and Tom’s FPL Digest, whilst Marc asks how Harry Kane’s departure will affect Spurs assets.

Meanwhile, the return of Premier League football means the return of some popular Scout regulars. The Great and the Good’s new entrants include Seb Wassell and Andy North from Scoutcast. Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez rises up the Watchlist now that Kepa Arrizabalaga has left, with the Scout Squad picks unanimous over £4.0m stopper Matt Turner at home to Sheffield United.
