⚡ THE BULLETIN

✍️ Welcome to the Fantasy Football Scout Bulletin - everything you need to know the day before the GW23 FPL deadline!

➡️ Although it’s not yet Double Gameweek 24, seeing Liverpool precede it at home to Ipswich has most FPL managers already directing their transfer thoughts towards Anfield.

🃏 Those activating a Gameweek 23 Wildcard can either opt for several attackers or multiple defenders but many of The Great and The Good chose to roll over last week’s transfer and wait for more information – they’ll have been interested to see Cody Gakpo and Trent Alexander-Arnold named on a Champions League bench.

✍️ THE SCOUT REPORT

Although it’s not yet Double Gameweek 24, seeing Liverpool precede it at home to Ipswich has most FPL managers already directing their transfer thoughts towards Anfield.

Those activating a Gameweek 23 Wildcard can either opt for several attackers or multiple defenders but many of The Great and The Good chose to roll over last week’s transfer and wait for more information – they’ll have been interested to see Cody Gakpo and Trent Alexander-Arnold named on a Champions League bench.

It’s enough to tempt FPL General into buying the premium defender and, unsurprisingly, the duo are unanimous Scout Squad picks alongside six others. Our ‘Hot Topic’ article asked a bunch of Pro Pundits about their preferred Liverpool trio, with Zophar naming his favourite Merseysiders in the weekly Q&A.

Inevitably, Everton’s involvement leads to the dreaded annual tradition of Dominic Calvert-Lewin getting mentioned. Without a goal in his previous 16 league outings, last Sunday’s strike past Tottenham was well-timed for the centre-forward. Both he and Dominik Szoboszlai have differential potential.

12 points ahead with a game in hand, Liverpool won’t be particularly nervous about Man City’s January splurge. We’ve looked at their signings of Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov and Vitor Reis, whilst rounding up other top-flight transfers.

As well as regular weekly coverage of the Fantasy EFL game, there’s the news of how sandgrounder did when competing in both the FFS Open Cup and FFS Members Cup finals. Plus this manager’s nice gesture involving prize money.

Still to come before the deadline are the opinions of Lateriser and Tom Freeman, in addition to Captain Sensible’s armband candidates.
