With one blank behind us, we now have another on the horizon. Yes, whilst most of the ‘Great and the Good’ bought the now-injured Hwang Hee-chan and dropped in rank, midweek finalisation of Blank Gameweek 29 means there’s no time to dwell. Four matches will occur and the quarter-final draw also gives an early insight into Double Gameweek 34.

Chip strategies are everywhere. Az currently has just three players for Blank 29 and will Free Hit. Meanwhile, Zophar advises non-chip users to focus transfers on attackers but also provides a Wildcard 27 draft, one of three plans studied by Pras.

Free Hit 29 or not, we’ve identified teams with the best fixtures for both. For example, Bournemouth have superb ones on both sides of the blank. Dominic Solanke is the main target – unanimous in Scout Squad picks – but there are nerves over his fitness for Sunday.

International cricketer Brad Currie (FPL Scofield) supports the Cherries and picks out his preferred assets, such as differential option Marcus Tavernier. Their defender Marcos Senesi is an interesting replacement for out-of-favour Pervis Estupinan but has eight yellow cards, meaning an Arsenal defensive double-up could be wiser. The Gunners have the best recent xG stats at both ends of the pitch, although Rate My Team’s algorithm still backs Erling Haaland over Bukayo Saka for captaincy.
