The long break for internationals and FA Cup action has been immediately followed by a quick turnaround, with just four days between deadlines. Yet it was still enough time for us to produce some useful articles for FPL managers.

By waiting, she’s swerved the Gabriel injury – not only is his season over but the game’s second-most popular defender Ola Aina is also hurt.
The likes of Josko Gvardiol, William Saliba and Daniel Munoz are picked out as good replacements, while Zophar recommends Nikola Milenkovic. He adds his opinion on the best Aston Villa attacking pick after Marcus Rashford scored on Wednesday. Fellow Pro Pundit Lateriser likes Marc Cucurella and Lewis Dunk in defence, also making suggestions for those using the Assistant Manager chip.
Another absentee was Bournemouth’s Justin Kluivert, while Alexander Isak has a slight knock that dents his captaincy appeal when visiting Leicester. Perhaps Omar Marmoush can take the armband – he’s just racked up nine shots versus the Foxes.
There’s been some positive news, too. Bukayo Saka is back and already on the scoresheet, plus there was a Cole Palmer assist against Tottenham.
