✍️ THE SCOUT REPORT

Following three consecutive Gameweeks of blanks and doubles, it was confirmed this afternoon that there won’t be any more of them during this campaign. That means Gameweek 35 has the normality of all teams playing exactly once, though with a Friday evening deadline.

In truth, this build-up has mostly been about guessing rotations and motivations. Arsenal are one of four English teams competing in huge continental clashes, which may mean another Bukayo Saka benching. So a good FPL replacement could be Bryan Mbeumo, as he takes penalties and set pieces for a Brentford side with strong closing fixtures. Alternatively, Jarrod Bowen assisted twice last weekend and is about to face Europa League semi-finalists Tottenham and Man United.

Expert Zophar has provided his own opinion on what to do with Saka, plus who the best forwards currently are. For example, Evanilson’s suspension has been overturned, while Lateriser likes Yoane Wissa and thinks Marcus Rashford’s injury will hugely benefit Ollie Watkins.

Elsewhere, Liverpool are officially the 2024/25 Premier League champions – what about their incentives? We’ve analysed Arne Slot’s title win at Feyenoord, to determine if Golden Boot-chasing Mohamed Salah is still an essential pick. Not that Tom Freeman will care, a Pro Pundit who is without the Egyptian King. He’s more concerned about his Crystal Palace attacking trio, knowing they have an FA Cup final on the horizon.

Alongside regular weekly coverage of the Fantasy EFL game, we’ve got Captain Sensible, Spot the Differential and The Great and the Good to come before Friday’s deadline, plus Scout Squad and FPL General’s latest opinions.
