✍️ THE SCOUT REPORT

Here we are, the final day of this FPL campaign. Nine months of hauls, blanks, hat-tricks and benched points are about to climax with all 20 teams playing at the same time. Just as traditional as the pre-deadline mayhem and forfeits for mini-league losers is the above-average number of Gameweek 38 goals we usually see.

That’s why managers are eyeing up attackers like Ollie Watkins, Evanilson and Jarrod Bowen – all unanimous Scout Squad selections and part of our Scout Picks lineup. Of course, many will likely keep waiting until we hear a firmer update about Alexander Isak’s groin issue. Eight of ‘The Great and The Good’ sold the Swede last week, all for Watkins.

FPL General did this for a points hit and now wants to ditch the injured William Saliba. Inspired by some left-back hauls from previous final days, Milos Kerkez and Tino Livramento are amongst the suggested replacements, while Nottingham Forest duo Nikola Milenkovic and Matz Sels have been shortlisted amongst this season’s best defenders and star goalkeepers. Then again, perhaps moving Saliba or Jurrien Timber to low-owned Arsenal teammate Riccardo Calafiori makes sense.

Another interesting differential is Brajan Gruda, having starred against Liverpool on Monday night. Whoever finishes eighth out of Brentford and Brighton could still qualify for Europe but Vitor Pereira and trophy-winning Ange Postecoglou stand in their way – two of eight eligible options for an Assistant Manager table bonus.

Our ‘Rate My Team’ tool likes Bournemouth assets and backs Mo Salah as the best captain, though neither of our FFS Members Cup finalists – schnuggi or Rossaldinho - currently owns the Egyptian.

Meanwhile, the exciting Fantasy EFL Play-off action is going on – a game covered thoroughly by Scout – and we still expect some closing thoughts from our Pro Pundits to arrive before Sunday afternoon’s top-flight deadline.
