TARGETING THE MID-PRICED MIDFIELDERS
Both Raheem Sterling (£7.2m) and James Maddison (£7.7m) recorded double-digit scores in Gameweek 3 and, for those without either, this week’s big question asks which FPL midfielder is better for the upcoming period.
Pro Pundit FPL General prefers the Spurs playmaker, whilst Zophar’s Q&A wonders whether Chelsea’s attacker is being overhyped after his 19-point return versus Luton. The Rate My Team (RMT) algorithm backs Sterling. Lateriser introduces other mid-priced options like Bryan Mbeumo (£6.8m) and Phil Foden (£7.6m) into the conversation, although FPL Milanista has been unlucky when repeatedly switching between the latter and Maddison.
The Digest discusses whether to sell a Man United or Brighton asset, as the Gameweek 4 Watchlist brings drops for Marcus Rashford (£9.0m) and Pervis Estupinan (£5.3m).
Meanwhile, our set-pieces article covers the return of Bukayo Saka (£8.7m) penalties as well as Erling Haaland’s (£14.0m) spot-kick miss. Not that it stops the Norwegian from being the top captaincy recommendation and unanimous in our Scout Squad picks.
The regular Great and the Good article has been published, besides Scout Reports on new signings Jeremy Doku (£6.5m), Mohammed Kudus (£6.5m) and cheap forward Cameron Archer (£4.5m). A round-up covers some lesser deals, as transfers escalate in the final days of this summer window. It closes just hours after Friday’s FPL deadline.
Still to come is the latest selection of differentials, plus a look into the acceptable early usage of a Wildcard.
As always, check out our Gameweek 4 page for a quick way to access all recent articles and visit our Members Area for comparison tools and an in-depth collection of Opta data.
Over on our YouTube channel, alongside the usual Scoutcast, Burning Questions and Deadline Dilemmas episodes are General’s Orders and The 59th Minute. There’s also David and Gianni on FPL Winners and a further look into Maddison v Sterling.
