In the week of Barbenheimer’s intense box office showdown, pre-season is also heating up thanks to Premier League sides facing each other in the Summer Series. In an attempt to catch up with the action here and elsewhere, eight Scout Notes articles have been published over the week.
We’ve seen Bruno Fernandes’ goal help Manchester United defeat Arsenal before both went up against El Clasico opposition. All of Liverpool’s attacking assets keep scoring, Nicolas Jackson (£7.0m) is starring for Chelsea and Yoane Wissa (£6.0m) is showing why he could be a better pick than team-mate Bryan Mbeumo (£6.5m).
Meanwhile, Ashley Young (£4.5m) was fielded out-of-position and hat-trick hero Richarlison (£7.0m) could be the same if Harry Kane (£12.5m) departs. And is anyone tempted by £5.5m midfielder Pedro Neto scoring for Wolves? No? Still too soon, then.
