PRO PUNDIT SQUAD IS LOCKED IN
It’s a time of team reveals, so we’ve joined in by announcing our Pro Pundit line-up for the 2023/24 season. A squad with superb experience and expertise, it includes three previous FPL winners and a combined 41 top 1k finishes.
Several of them have written this week. FPL General’s current Gameweek 1 draft comes with his long list of targets, Lateriser goes back and forth on whether to go Mo Salah or No Salah, whilst Zophar explains why he’ll have neither the Egyptian King nor Trent Alexander-Arnold.
His further Q&A session not only discussed how we should get onto Chelsea assets but seemed to predict the future by looking at Gabriel Jesus alternatives. Soon after, Arsenal’s highly-owned forward picked up a knee issue that will rule him out of Gameweek 1 just hours before Chelsea’s Christopher Nkunku suffered similar.
Therefore the rundown of best £7.0+ forwards came at just the right time. Nkunku’s team-mate Nicolas Jackson is already amongst the goals, as is Darwin Nunez. Yet just when the latter’s bandwagon was starting, Jurgen Klopp didn’t start him in a strong XI against Bayern Munich.
Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze is impressing for Crystal Palace and £4.0m pair George Baldock and Jordan Beyer have both found the net to stake their claim as defensive enablers. For more information on this pre-season, make sure to check our comprehensive guide for a quick way to find recent articles and access the incredibly handy minutes tracker.
Looking forward, our team previews have begun, profiling Newcastle United, Everton, Chelsea and Brighton and Hove Albion. New transfers like Calvin Bassey and Igor Julio are studied, Son Heung-min is tipped for success and there’s a list of best £5.0m to £5.5m midfielders.
Our site has ‘Rate My Team’ points projections and, over on our YouTube channel, both Az Phillips and Simon March have registered team reveals. Additionally, Mark Sutherns took questions from the community and Brigadier Munday joined FPL General for the debut episode of General’s Orders. Returning is Burning Questions and Deadline Dilemmas.
